INTRODUCTION AND PRESENTATION

INSIDESARDINIA, or Sardinia inside, Sardinia of the inside or Sardinia countryside in the area that separates it from the sea; that sea for wich Sardinia is well-known all over the word and that, every year in summer becomes the favorite spot of an always greater number of tourists and vacationers. In fact Sardinia, is a splendid place of vacations, with his coasts that are considered the most attractive and unspoiled of the Mediterranean sea. However there is another side of Sardinia, as much splendid and interesting and rich of extraordinary places that wait still today to be discovered, known and explored completely. This is 'the Sardinia of the inside, the wild countryside, with its history, culture and ancient Traditions; the Sardinia of harsh landscape that vary at every step, the unusual beauty of the panorama that changes at every ridge, with the primordial environment and wildness, with its plurisecolari forests and its floral and faunistic endemism. Sardinia of the mountains that, although the modest altimetric contributions, presents the appearance and features of the true mountains, offering the possibility to satisfy almost all the requirements of the most demanding sportive ones. The Sardinia of the caves and underground cavities, that from a speleology point of view are of great value and international interest, being still unexplored and untouched. The Sardinia of historical and archeological sites with its Nuraghi, symbols of a Region, that offers a spacious range of possible experiences: from the fascinating simple walks to the most binding crossing or long lasting trekking. A wide range of choices, in a natural unique landscape that nowadays is considered and recognized as the main source of tourist attraction but always and at any rate, in the optic of respect, safeguard, protection of enviroment and echo-compatible development.

The realization of this Website was born from the idea and from the initiative of a group of friends, Roberto Manconi, Franco Fadda and Salvatore Fadda, with the large passion for nature and sport adventure. We are a group of friends that personally have put into practice the touring, mountaineering, sport climbing, speleology and other experiences. Our aim is to give a small contribution to develop some of the more significant aspects of Sardinia territories, in the attempt to supply tourists and all to the lovers of the nature, with answers and useful informations about Sardinia's unspoiled nature and touring. This work is the result of accurate researches and above all of our personal experiences directly on the territory. Our gratitude goes to our friends that, like us, took part in first place to a wide range of sports activities on the mountains. What has driven us to make our experiences known to the public? One thing only: The big love and the passion that we have for our land, for the nature and for the sport. The realization of our project is our main goal. We ask indulgence to the readers if somehow any inaccuracy may occur during these pages and we hope the content of this work can be of some interest. In this contest we hope you will enjoy the following introduction on Sardinia rich landscapes full of history, naturalistic and archeological beauties.
